Charleston is dripping with history from it's cobblestone streets with horse drawn carriage rides, to it's incredible architecture, to it's many landmarks.  Visit Ft. Sumter where the first shots of the Civil War were fired.  Stroll the houses and grounds of one of the many beautiful plantations where time seems frozen, or browse through the Historic Market downtown.  And you simply have to take a walk along the Battery to see those incredible grand homes overlooking a fabulous harbor view.

But don't be fooled, Charleston seemlessly intertwines the historic with the contemporary!  Everything you could want in a major metropolitan area is here...fine dining and shopping, theatre, arts, museums and more. Come to Charleston in the spring for the annual Spoleto Festival, a celebration of every art medium.  Take the kids to the South Carolina Aquarium.  There is something for everyone.

With it's temperate climate, Charleston is the place where you can boat, golf or fish year round.  Cool off at one the area's pristine beaches in summer or simply take in a gorgeous view.
